’63 for ONE
In 2017, classmates Jim Edmiston, Larry Dreyer, and Nick Hahn hatched the idea of creating this scholarship to assist families with the increasing costs of an Elder education. Many Class of 1963 graduates often talk of the value of the education they received at Elder and the development of a value system that has served them well throughout their lives. They are grateful to the many members of the Elder faculty and staff for providing them with both knowledge and wisdom that can be used in their lives after graduating from Elder. Funding for the scholarship has been generated on average by having approximately 63 class members contribute, on average, $200 each annually. This funding has provided for at least one scholarship that is awarded each year to a rising senior. Through the generosity of many members of the Class of 1963, this scholarship will continue and many more scholarship awards will be provided to Elder students for years to come.
