Paul Tepe Memorial
Paul Tepe, Elder class of 1985, was a second generation graduate of Elder. His father, Frank, graduated in 1956 and his son, Jonathan, graduated in 2017. He continued his values of faith and family by providing a Catholic education for his children – Ashley, Mikayla, and Jonathan. During his years at Elder, Paul played soccer and ran track and made lifelong friendships with many of his classmates.
Paul was a family man who enjoyed Sunday family dinners, running, and playing golf. He also loved family vacations, trips to Ireland the year of his 50th and 55th birthdays, as well as sporting events, including Friday night Elder football games. In May of 2022, Paul was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). He battled ALS while always somehow maintaining a positive outlook combined with unwavering optimism that carried him and his family through those challenging times. Paul's parents started this memorial scholarship to give back to the Elder community and the Catholic education that they value so much.
