Kim R. Knoppe

Kim Knoppe, Elder Class of 1969, set single season and career receptions records in football and set the high-hurdle record and anchored the shuttle hurtle team track record. He then attended Xavier University where he majored in business finance and was 5th all-time receptions leader in football. He also earned an MBA from Bryant University in Rhode Island. Kim is one of the founders and co-owners of Autumnwood Homes which he started in 1987. Autumnwood Homes builds single-family homes in central Ohio and the greater Cincinnati area and also builds homes for lease, lease purchase, and buys homes to rehab. In 2021, Kim began planning a major redevelopment project in East Price Hill’s Incline District. Building all of these homes within blocks of where Kim was born and a short distance away from his alma mater is what ignited the project for Kim. Kim created this scholarship in 2014 and, in addition to being a long-time Athletic Boosters member, has since contributed to name the 2nd floor of the Panther Fitness Center after his football coach and longtime teacher, Mike Honold. Kim has also supported the arts at Elder through his sponsorship of the annual grade school art show as well as the annual Elder Art Show with the Kim Knoppe Art Awards of Excellence.
