David & Tom Riestenberg

Tom Riestenberg, Elder Class of 1973, and his siblings Paul ’74 and Bob ’80 were all proud graduates of Elder. Tom married the love of his life, Lori, in 1990 and he instilled his love of all things Elder onto his two sons, Bryan ’10 and Alex ‘12. Bryan loved playing football and baseball for Elder and Alex also played football and was in the Honors Program. Tom also had two daughters, Eva and Faye. Tom was a master tradesman and owned his own company, Thomas Electric. Sadly, Tom passed away from cancer in 1998. David Riestenberg, son of Tom and Lori, was born in 1996 and unfortunately only lived about 7 months. But during his short life, he brought much joy to his family. This scholarship was established in both their names.
