Barrel Pulskamp
Barry “Barrel” Pulskamp, Elder Class of 1972, was an avid Elder supporter. From the moment he first walked those halls as a 14-year-old until the time of his passing at age 67, he literally "bled purple." His years at Elder helped develop his strong family, work, moral, and ethical values that allowed for much success in his business career. Barrel was the absolute best husband, father, and grandfather and continued to live life to the fullest even while fighting a valiant battle against kidney failure.
Even up until his final days, he was still giving back to Elder by overseeing renovation projects for the school. He would never admit it, but he LOVED the fact that his knowledge and expertise was still valued and appreciated.
Friends and family graciously created this scholarship in his memory, and Barrel would be so pleased to know that it will allow deserving young men the same opportunity for a quality education that he once received from Elder High School.
