Elder's Memorial Fieldhouse
In the late 1970's the number of sports programs increased and the need arose for expanded athletic facilities. Plans were made for the Elder Memorial Fieldhouse, also known as The Pit. The 1,900-seat facility serves as a site for numerous events like the following: basketball games, convocations and all-school masses.
The Gym is part of the 1959 addition to Elder High School originally used for basketball. Now the gym houses Elder's wrestling and volleyball programs. Classes, assemblies, masses, and pep-rallies also take place in the gym.
The Donohoe Center
The Edward “Tank” Donohoe Center is a state-of-the-art fitness center. The facility is open to all students, faculty and staff. Used for the weight training, physical education and athletic programs, this part of campus rarely sleeps. The Donohoe Center is also home for the Elder Spirit Store as well as the athletic and training offices.
